ICG GP35 2517
Description:
ICG GP35 2517 dead at the Shops, Paducah, Kentucky, June 25, 1986, photo by Chuck Zeiler. Built in August 1964 as GM&O GP35 619 (c/n 29276) on EMD Order 7729, it briefly became PAL 2517, was rebuilt by VMV Enterprises in December 1990 to BN GP39V 2978, later becoming BNSF 2978. It is seen here outside the ICG's Paducah Shops which, during my visit, were shut down. Eventually, the Shops were taken over by VMV Enterprises.

It looks like there was a little heat below the cab.
